Situation Report January 2014

On 23rd of January 2014 there were approx 26 000 new Sudanese arrivals in Gambella region, with more than 4000 having arrived in 2 days. The 4000 new arrivals are mainly women and children from Nuer community. However, there is a lot of uncertainty regarding the figures due to the porosity of the border, and with refugees crossing the river back and forth.
