LWf Ethiopia responding to the El Niño-induced drought that has affected 10.3million Ethiopians in 2015.  While the meher 'long rains' have been good in most of the cereal growing regions in July and August, the effectes of the prolonged and severe drought will continue to be felf into 2017.  The revised HRD documents released by the Government and OCHA in the Fall of 2016= indicates that a little more then 9 million people would still require food assitance in 2016.   LWF Ethiopia lalong with other ACT Alliance Ethiopia Forum requesting and implementing partners have extended the ETH161 appeal until 31December 2016, being implemented in most of the drought-affected regions.
